Winslow Therapeutic Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, PATH Int’l Premier Accredited Center that was formed in 1974 to assist children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges find strength and independence in their daily lives.
With over 50 years of experience, Winslow provides a unique, restorative, and empowering experience, offering equine-assisted services that encourage individuals with (and without) disabilities to grow and learn through our diverse and educational programs. The partnership between human and horse cannot be expressed through words; it can only be seen in the positive changes we see in our participants each and every day.

We offer a complete range of equestrian, Therapeutic and wellness programs for the benefit of the community.
Equestrian
As an inclusive facility, we provide both adaptive and traditional horseback riding lessons which incorporate mounted and unmounted horsemanship skills.
Adult Day/ Therapeutic
Winslow’s Adult Day and Therapeutic Programs empower individuals to gain independence and confidence in their daily lives through multi-dimensional learning and arts based approaches.

Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome.

Winslow has a program designed for you!
What should I wear?
Dress appropriately for the weather. Long pants (jeans, leggings, or breeches) and closed-toe shoes are required; Crocs are not permitted. Shirts must cover the shoulders and midsection. Shorts are acceptable in very warm weather. Helmets are required at all times.
What ages do you serve?
Yes. Riders are welcome to borrow from our collection of helmets. We also recommend Green Valley Tack (www.greenvalleytack.com/) in Pine Island to purchase a helmet and they will make sure your helmet is properly fitted. Be sure to mention Winslow, as they generously provide our clients with a discount!
Are helmets provided?
A skilled, licensed team you can trust with your property. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, our dedicated professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project. We are fully insured for your peace of mind, ensuring that your investment is protected and the job is done right, safely, and to the highest industry standards.
Do you ride year-round?
Yes! Lessons are offered year-round, weather permitting. We have both indoor and outdoor arenas, with the indoor arena heated during the winter. In extreme temperatures, ground lessons may be offered as an alternative to mounted riding.
What is the difference between adaptive and traditional lessons?
Traditional lessons teach standard riding skills without specialized support. Adaptive lessons incorporate specialized equipment, specially certified instructors, and trained volunteers to individuals with special needs.
